This 1-day programme is for forklift operators who’ve already completed MESH’s 2-day certification and are due to renew. It refreshes key safety protocols, reviews operational skill, and covers any changes in practice since initial certification — delivered in-house, at your site, on your own equipment.
Forklift certification and driver cards don’t last indefinitely, and skills and habits can drift over time even for experienced operators. Rather than repeating the full 2-day programme, this refresher revisits the essentials — stability principles, hazard awareness, safe operating behaviour — and reassesses operators against them, so renewal stays proportionate to what’s actually needed.
To join this course, participants must have completed MESH’s 2-day Safe Handling of Forklift Trucks or an equivalent course within the past 2 years, and be able to drive a forklift without assistance. If your team doesn’t meet this, MESH’s team can advise on the right starting point.
The course refreshes and reassesses:
Training combines theory lecture, practical training, case study and Q&A, with both theory and practical assessment.
Participants are assessed by questionnaire and practical test at your facility. On successful completion, MESH issues a renewed driver card and certification, valid for a further 2 years.
MESH’s team delivers the full day on-site, using your own forklift, so the refresher reflects the actual equipment and environment operators work in day to day. The course is HRD Corp claimable.
